I grew up in a blue-collar small town, about 1, people, with a focus on farming. Our financial woes. The less-than-feminine girl who wore plaid. As with any high school, there were the whispers and suggestions of who among us might be gay. A locker room is also where you find that a way to build yourself up is to tear others down.
The fact that I liked boys and girls. Our high school had less than students enrolled in it; my graduating class was something like I had a ton of secrets and embarrassments growing up. While the support from all corners was amazing, familiar refrains appeared.
