Little Gay Bookstore is a queer, women-owned bookstore and nonprofit in Columbus, Ohio. Howdy, friends! The idea for the business started during their own quest for queer fiction to read while visiting Los Angeles in The online version of Little Gay Bookstore allows people to order titles — categories include gay, lesbian, bisexual and pansexual, transgender, intersex and asexual — and have them shipped to their homes or to Stonewall Columbus for pickup.
We specialize in LGBTQ+ literature, offering a handpicked selection of queer stories for all ages.
We asked if there were any queer bookstores in LA, and she told us she didn't know of any. Then we made the joke that got us here: "Well, we'll just open a gay bookstore ourselves!" She replied that she'd "send us a ton of business!" We laughed and went about our day, still searching for queer literature throughout the city.

An Open Book was a busy hub in the heart of the Short North that sold books, gifts and greeting cards while serving as a community center of sorts for LGB people. Find us at N High St. with our coffee shop, Queer Beans!. We want everyone to know they have a community.

Steiner and Branch grew up in Lexington, a village of less than 5, people south of Mansfield, but didn't meet until both were living back home in during the pandemic. After moving from N. High St. Little Gay Bookstorewhich they began inexists now online and as a popup at festivals and markets.
